Artist pop-up - Emily Brooks Millar

Emily Brooks Millar (b. 1998) is a visual artist based in Glasgow, Scotland. ​​Her work is a blend of mixed media, primarily using acrylics, oils, and crayons. The child-like feel within her pieces allows for a sense of creepiness and exploration that invites viewers into a space where they can freely share their thoughts.

Emily's work begins with extensive writing and research in her sketchbook, with the text guiding the visual creation that follows. Her creative process is rooted in bright, bold colours, both approachable and translatable.

She will be joining us at Bàrd on Tuesday 6th January, selling her artwork; and you'll have the chance to view it for the whole month of January with a selection of works displayed in the bookshop.
