It really depends on my mood but really I just love a good story. Something that absorbs me and you race through it only to be sad when it ends; something that I want to shove into other people’s hands and say “you have to read this”.

Percival Everett's James: A gripping, thrilling novel, shortlisted for the Booker Prize.

I refuse to put myself in a box, I like everything (except for the books that I don’t like) I’m drawn to darkness... I’ll always have a soft spot for cannibals and creatures of the night... lately I’ve been dipping my toes into some historical fiction and it is welcome.

Ayesha Manazir Siddiqi's book cover, "the centre", features a mouth with repeating lips and positive reviews

I like books where nothing happens. I’d probably describe my type as existential novellas lol. ‘The Centre’ is actually more of a thriller – not my usual but it’s so so clever and gripping.

I don't have a specific genre, I'm bold, eclectic, and cool.

Separate Rooms: Pier Vittorio Tondelli novel cover featuring two men; New York Times

My fave books are the ones that evoke a specific moment in time. I don't look out for plot or characters, I'm all about setting.

I like environmental dystopian sci-fi that will help me question existence. Typically depressing but you know, every cloud...
