About the event

Join Testing Ground on the 1st October as they turn 1 year old! This special edition of the night includes features sets from poets Lee Campbell, Eliza Fiver and a special set from one of the founders himself Iftikhar Latif. All welcome for a night of poetry, music and performance which includes an open mic where audience members can sign up to show their stuff too! Testing Ground is a night to try out new things - whether it's your first open-mic, or you're a seasoned pro, it's a welcoming, supportive audience who want you to succeed as much as you do. Open-mic slots are first-come-first-served at the door.


Iftikhar Latif is a writer and poet of British-Bangladeshi descent from East London. His work often refers to the British Asian experience, immigrant family relationships, deconstructions of masculinity , media culture and growing up in the city. He is cofounder and…
