About the event

Join Testing Ground on the 3rd February for another night of poetry and music.

Gayathiri is a Tamil writer and producer based in London. They're interested in how language shapes adolescence and how we might use it to build freer futures. Their play 'Period Parrrty' is a trans Tamil rom-com and opened at Soho Theatre in October 2025. Their debut novel 'Bad Queer' is forthcoming with Faber.

All welcome for a night of poetry, music and performance which includes an open mic where audience members can sign up to show their stuff too! Testing Ground is a night to try out new things - whether it's your first open-mic, or you're a seasoned pro, it's a welcoming, supportive audience who want you to succeed as much as you do. Open-mic slots are first-come-first-served at the door.

Starts from 7pm. Sign up on the night. Open mic performers get 5 minutes to perform.…
