Join Testing Ground on the 3rd June for another night of poetry and music.


Kofi Achina is a London-born writer, storyteller, poet and spoken-word artist. Known for blending comedy with tragedy to explore cultural, political and existential themes, his dynamic performances, impactful as they are introspective, have seen him featured at poetry events, exhibitions, workshops and festivals across the UK, as well as internationally as the England National Slam Champion. Kofi is the founder and host of the spoken-word fundraiser, Heart of the Community.


All welcome for a night of poetry, music and performance which includes an open mic where audience members can sign up to show their stuff too! Testing Ground is a night to try out new things - whether it's your first open-mic, or you're a seasoned pro, it's a welcoming, supportive audience who want you to succeed as much as you do.
